Olympus Team members from the Business Development and Infection Prevention groups within Olympus Corporation of the Americas (“Olympus”) have held initial discussions with Endo Technologies Ltd (“Endo Technologies”) These were a result of Olympus’ interest in the Endo Jig robotic endoscope cleaning system being developed by Endo Technologies. Endoscopy contamination and cleaning continues to be a focus area for Olympus. Olympus is supportive of innovative technology designed to improve the cleaning and reprocessing process. Based on the information supplied during the discussions and the follow up answers to technical questions, Olympus has concluded that the Endo-Jig robotic system shows potential in advancing the pre-sterilizing cleaning process for various endoscopes.
